As a Pre-Sales Consultant at SUE, you are the technical conscience within the commercial process. You work closely with our Sales Executives and Solution Architects and translate customer questions into concrete, future-proof solutions. An ideal role to start or further develop your career at the intersection of technology and business.
What you’ll be doing
As a Pre-Sales Consultant, you support the sales process with your technical knowledge and insight. You help (potential) customers understand how our solutions solve their challenges. You don't simply sell technology; you advise and help design our customers' future IT and cloud infrastructure.
You will delve deeply into SUE's Solutions & Services portfolio and contribute to technical proposals, RFPs (Requests for Proposal), and compelling demos. You will work with modern technologies such as DevOps, Platform Engineering, containerization, and cloud solutions.
In addition, you will learn how to position partners such as AWS, GitLab, Dynatrace, Wiz, Red Hat, and Cloudflare. You will also play an important role in demonstrating the value of our own SaaS solution Multistax and our software modernization platform Re:App.
Your daily tasks
- Supporting Sales Executives during customer meetings by answering technical questions
- Preparing and giving demos, for example of Multistax or Cloudflare security solutions
- Translating customer requirements into high-level designs and initial architectural sketches
- Drafting proposals and Statements of Work, and coordinating with vendors on appropriate solutions
- Keeping up with developments within the Cloud Native landscape and our technology partners
- Sharing technical knowledge and trends with the sales team
Who you are
You love technology, but you don't necessarily want to spend all day coding on your own. You get energy from working with others and enjoy talking to different people. You are curious about how organizations work and how technology can make a difference in them.
You take initiative, have a positive "can-do" attitude, and see complex technical issues as puzzles to be solved. You communicate clearly and honestly and know how to explain technical concepts in an understandable way, even to people without a technical background. And you don't hesitate to ask colleagues questions to really understand solutions.
Skills & Knowledge
- Completed higher professional education or university education, preferably in IT, Computer Science, or a business/IT-related field
- At least 3 years of experience in IT
- Strong affinity with Cloud Native technologies (public cloud, containers, Kubernetes)
- Basic knowledge of Linux and infrastructure concepts is an advantage.
- Familiar with, or motivated to learn about, the SUE ecosystem (AWS, Red Hat, GitLab, Dynatrace, Wiz, etc.)
- Strong presentation and communication skills, you are comfortable speaking in front of a group
- Able to translate technical features into clear business benefits
- Proactive attitude and eager to learn in a dynamic environment
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Dutch and English
- You can make complex technical topics understandable to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A team player who effortlessly switches between sales colleagues and highly technical engineers
