Cloud Engineer

As a Cloud Engineer at SUE, you’ll work on diverse and challenging projects for clients such as the Dutch Police, Bol.com, and Booking.com. You’ll design, implement, and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructures, ensuring they’re secure, scalable, and reliable.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

• Designing and deploying cloud, on-premise, and hybrid architectures tailored to client needs.
• Migrating existing workloads to cloud or hybrid environments in a structured and secure way.
• Integrating and managing platforms such as OpenShift, VMware, Proxmox, and other on-premises solutions alongside public cloud services.
• Automating infrastructure using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Monitoring cloud and hybrid environments and optimizing for performance and cost.
• Collaborating with developers, DevOps, and security teams to ensure smooth operations across cloud and on-premises infrastructure.
• Troubleshooting and resolving issues in complex, multi-cloud and hybrid environments.

You’ll work hands-on with platforms like AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenShift, VMware, and Proxmox, and use tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Kubernetes. No two days are the same, and you’ll have plenty of room to learn and grow.

We’d love you to bring:

• Experience with at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with on-premise and hybrid cloud environments, such as OpenShift, VMware, Proxmox, or similar technologies.
• Solid understanding of cloud and hybrid architecture and best practices.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with Linux systems and networking concepts.
• Some experience with containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) is a plus.
• Knowledge of security and compliance in cloud and hybrid environments.
• Strong communication skills and a client-focused mindset.
