Nomad, HashiCorp’s alternative to K8s
In this tech talk you will learn more about Nomad, HashiCorp’s alternative to Kubernetes. Nomad is a simple and flexible scheduler and workload orchestrator to deploy and manage containers and non-containerized applications across on-prem and clouds at scale. We will take an in-depth look at the product, its capabilities, internal architecture, and Nomad’s unique strengths relative to Kubernetes.
Marc Cluet is manager Partner Solution Engineering EMEA at Hashicorp. He has over 25 years of experience in the industry and worked for companies like Rackspace, Canonical, Trainline, DevOpsGroup, Nationwide Building Society and several startups.
Marc has spoken at some of the most prestigious conferences, including FOSDEM, LISA, OpenStack Summit, UDS and PuppetCon. In addition, he is one of the organisers of London DevOps (the 2nd biggest DevOps meetup in the world), DevOps Exchange Barcelona and DevSecOps Days UK. Oh, and Marc is also a DevOps Institute Ambassador – Did we already mention he is into DevOps?
Marc has contributed code to projects like Puppet, mcollective, Juju, cloud-init and he helped to create MAAS. He loves solving complex infrastructure problems and applying solid and repeatable solutions. Last but not least, Marc is an absolute expert in building up agile engineering teams and knows it everything about Nomad as K8s alternative.
