Hyperconverged storage for Kubernetes

Do you work with Kubernetes and are you not able (or willing) to use a cloud provider? Or do you have clusters across multiple providers like AWS, Azure and Google Cloud? Then you will face this challenge sooner or later: the persistent storage of data.

Your solution is Longhorn. A hyperconverged product for Kubernetes storage. It’s open source, platform independent, quick to implement and easy to use. Besides, Longhorn has functionalities such as S3 live backups, YAML configuration, dynamic replication and automatic disruption handling.

On Thursday 7 October Bas Kraai will tell and show how Longhorn can help you to overcome the challenge of persistent storage.

Bas Kraai is a Jack-of-all-trades. However, he devoted himself primarily to containerization and Infra as Code. On his current assignment he develops an Infra-as-code pipeline for rolling out various resources within the on-premise and cloud environment of several large financial service providers. At home you will also find him regularly in the cloud, where he ran into Longhorn. As an enthusiastic user he can not wait to share his findings with you!
